Golf elbow Rehabilitation Miami

The physical therapists at USA Sports Therapy are Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Level I Certified in order to give golfers the best care in the golf-fitness industry. You are guaranteed care by experts who are up to date with the latest information. Titleist Performance Institute, located in Oceanside, California, is the world’s foremost educational organization devoted to golf-fitness and the body to golf swing relationship.

According to their philosophy, β€œTPI believes golfers will benefit the most from a healthy and efficient body.” USA Sports Therapy’s physical therapists embrace TPI’s belief that there is no one way to swing a club. For every player, however, there is one efficient way to swing based on his or her physical abilities. USA Sports Therapy is determined to help you find your most effective swing through a thorough assessment of swing mechanics, physical fitness, movement quality, current health, and medical history.

The assessment involves a physical screening in which movement patterns are observed. The physical therapist can identify faulty stability patterns and altered mobility patterns that may be limiting your swing. There are many things that can alter normal stability or mobility pattern, but most fall in the categories of traumas, thoughts, toxins, and technique. Depending on injuries, stress, what you drink or eat, or learned skills, your patterns may be altered.

There are a number of screening tests included in USA sports therapy Miami beach, Midtown rehabilitation center, or in other rehab centersΒ that the physical therapist may put you through: pelvic tilt, pelvic rotation, torso rotation, overhead deep squat, toe touch, 90/90, single leg balance, lat test, lower quarter rotation test, cervical rotation test, wrist mobility screens, seated trunk rotation, bridge with leg extension, and reach/roll/lift. With each test, the physical therapist will observe your movement patterns and identify possible physical causes of any limitations.

Apart from the physical screening, TPI-certified physical therapists can observe swing characteristics. There are 12 common deviations in one’s swing: S-posture, C-posture, loss of posture, flat shoulder plane, early extension, over-the-top, sway, slide, reverse spine angle, hanging back, casting, and chicken winging. Similar to the physical screens, the physical therapist can identify possible physical causes of any deviations seen.

If you are in the Miami area and are seeking an expert to address golf-related limitations and/or injuries through physical rehabilitation, swing assessment, and strength and conditioning, contact the USA Sports team for more information about locations and treatment services.
