Dr. Joey Masri earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in 2016. He also holds Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist credentials (CSCS) from the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Prior to joining USA Sports Therapy, Dr. Masri practiced in an orthopedic/sports outpatient facility in Pinecrest, Florida, where he developed his skill set in manual therapy and corrective exercise. He specializes in treating a wide variety of pathologies, both surgical and non-surgical, such as neck and back pain, shoulder strains/tears, knee injuries, foot/ankle issues, and neurological disorders.
Dr. Masri emphasizes an extensive hands-on manual therapy approach including cupping, instrument-assisted soft tissue techniques, K-tape, and joint mobilizations in order to address pain and dysfunction. He additionally prescribes specific and individualized therapeutic exercises to correct movement patterns and help each of his patients maximally achieve their goals.
Dr. Masri is the head physical therapist for the Midtown location within the Anatomy fitness center.
