Dr. Nicholas Concepcion received his doctor of physical therapy degree from the University of Miami in 2010. Since graduating, Dr. Concepcion has continued to improve his knowledge and skill set for the optimal treatment of athletes and patients of all ages by taking several advanced continuing education courses. He became Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) to help his patient’s go from injury all the way back to the field at a high level.
Prior to joining USA Sports Therapy, Dr. Concepcion practiced in an orthopedic based outpatient clinic in Pinecrest Florida. Dr. Concepcion has experience treating patients ranging from neck and back pain, foot injuries, common sports injuries including ACL reconstruction and RTC pathologies, biomechanical dysfunctions, and pre- and post-operative rehabilitation ranging from total joint replacements to various arthroscopic procedures.
Dr. Concepcion utilizes a comprehensive manual therapy approach along with patient-specific therapeutic exercise interventions to restore patients to their prior level of function. His approach emphasizes individualized patient-centered care to ensure the highest quality patient outcomes. He has also been an educator as a clinical instructor for over nine years to various local doctorate of physical therapy programs.
As a born and raised a Miami native, Dr. Concepcion truly understands the community. Growing up playing soccer and wrestling for his local alma mater, Christopher Columbus high school, he understands the importance of quickly returning to sport and seeking the highest quality care. As a father of two girls, he enjoys fishing and free diving along with coaching his daughter’s soccer team.
Dr. Concepcion is the director of the South Miami clinic in the prestigious Peak 360 CrossFit facility.
