Dr. Shane Barnes received his Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree (DPT) from Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania in 2013. While achieving his physical therapy degree, he worked as a licensed Athletic Trainer for the Division II men’s baseball team, football team, and men’s water polo team at Gannon University. As an Athletic Trainer, he established multiple specialized injury prevention programs and spoke at college
athletic conventions about sports injuries and treatment.
As a Physical Therapist, Dr. Barnes joined a large company in Pittsburgh, PA, where he utilized a manual therapy approach and tailored plans of care so patients could have a better quality of life and function at their highest potential. He specialized in K-taping, IASTM, and ballistic movement training which has served his patient’s well over the years.
Dr. Barnes arrived in South Florida in 2018 where he started in Inpatient and Acute care at Mount Sinai Hospital. While at the hospital he quickly became the senior therapist, and he advocated the importance of skilled Physical Therapy to the hospital administration for the COVID population. He then became the sole Physical Therapy provider throughout the COVID pandemic and received a certificate of excellence for his
selfless dedication and professionalism.
Dr. Barnes has a true passion for patient care and goes above and beyond to achieve
the best outcome for each patient. He is currently the Director of the Hallandale Clinic
located on Hallandale Beach, Blvd.
